We work on bioinformatics, AI for biological data, medical device software from firmware to cloud, and the platforms that support these systems in regulated environments.

Bioinformatics and Genomics

Sequencing has become inexpensive, but interpreting the output is still difficult work. We build and maintain NGS pipelines using BWA, GATK, and SAMtools, and apply statistical methods to the datasets they produce, including the variant and biomarker analysis behind companion diagnostics.

AI for Life Sciences

AI can help life sciences teams deal with the growing amount of image and text based data they work with every day. We build systems that handle the repetitive work, so scientists and specialists can spend more time on the parts that need their experience and judgment.

Medical Device Engineering

We develop software for medical devices across firmware, connected devices, and cloud platforms. Our work includes design controls, DFMEA, verification, and validation, with the level of documentation and testing matched to the device and its intended use.

Digital Pathology and Imaging

We build software for digital pathology, including tools for viewing, annotating, and analyzing whole slide images. Our work includes biomarker quantification for HER2, Trop2, CD8, and H&E in oncology, along with real time viewing and automated scoring for pathologists.

Cloud and Data Platforms

Life sciences teams often work with large amounts of sensitive data, and that data cannot always be moved to a public cloud. We build cloud and data platforms that can run in the environment that fits the requirements, including on premises, air gapped, and regulated cloud environments. We have also built, maintained, and customized LIMS for laboratory teams.

Regulatory and Validation

Validation is part of the ongoing work, not something that happens only before a release. As systems change, they need to be tested and documented so the validated state is maintained. We use test automation to make that work more consistent, repeatable, and easier to manage.

Clinical Data and Study Platforms

Clinical studies run on software that has to change as the protocol changes. We build electronic data capture, study rule engines, and the workflow automation around them, so a revised questionnaire reaches production in minutes rather than weeks.
